Lilach Levanon — Vienna Classic Strings - International Violin, Viola and Cello Competition and Festival

Considered as one of Israel's prominent string pedagogues, Violist Lilach Levanon raised a whole generation of Israeli violists, many of them won international competitions and awards (such as Tertis, Baden-Baden, Bled); performed as soloists and are members of Israel`s leading orchestras (Israel Philharmonic, Jerusalem Symphony, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Israeli Opera/ Rishon LeZion Symphony Orchestra, among others).

Lilach Levanon performed as soloist and chamber musician in the US, Europe, Latin America, and Israel, in central venues such as Merkin Hall in New York, the "Rudolfinum" in Prague, Teatro Coliseo in Buenos Aires, Villa Lobos Hall in Brazil, and in most of the major Israeli concert halls. Took part in such festivals as Dartington, Prague, Nimmes, Upper Galilee and participated in numerous radio/TV recordings and live broadcasts.

Ms. Levanon is a Faculty member at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, a joint institution of Tel Aviv University and the Israel Philharmonic orchestra, where she teaches viola and String Pedagogy. She also teaches at the "Keshet Eilon" International String Master Classes and the Givatayim City Conservatory and intensively collaborating with the Jerusalem Music Center and the Young Israel Philharmonic.

Lilach Levanon holds a Doctoral degree from the State University of New York (Stony Brook), where she studied with principal violist of the Metropolitan Opera of New York, Caroline Levine. She earned her Bachelor and Master degrees at Tel Aviv University, with principal violist of the Israel Chamber Orchestra, Gad Lewertoff.
